Sow in an
unheated greenhouse or coldframe in the spring or autumn.
Keep moist and covered with temperatures of about 20°C (68°F) for 2-4 weeks, followed by a cooling period of 4-6 weeks.
A period of cold
stratification may improve the germination time.
When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out into their permanent positions in the summer.
