Clump forming perennial with large, deep wine-red flowers produced from June to September. Excellent and long-lasting cut flowers, and attracts bees and butterflies. Plant in full sun, and well drained

Sow on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost. Cover very lightly with compost or vermiculite; (needs some light to germinate). Keep moist at between
20-25°C (70-75°F). Sowing Time: February to May.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions before planting out 30cm (12in) apart in full sun.
