Attractive, bright golden yellow daisies once commonly seen in cornfields across the British Isles. The combination of the brilliant yellow flowers and bluish-green, chrysanthemum-like leaves and
stems surely make this one of the loveliest wild flowers for the garden. Like most of the daisy family, it is a valuable plant for many insects. Height:30cm (12 inches).
Sow outdoors where they are to
flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 6mm (¼in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart. The seed usually germinates within 10 - 18 days at 15°c.
Plants will self-seed
easily, making this an ideal plant for a wild flower meadow or natural planting scheme.
