Hardy perennial herb and wildflower with beautiful sky-blue flowers from July to October, which close at midday. Leaves can be eaten in salads. Sun.
Attracts bees. Ht: 75cm (30")
Time: February to June or September to October.
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Cover seed with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a
temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Overwinter plants
in frost-free conditions before planting out the following spring.
